Pat has recently won an embroidery competition and been declared a Master Class Winner by FLAIR magazine. This was the result of creating an art quilt in the Butterfly Magic Competition 2010. Wall art quilts are becoming part of the Stitch Pretty range, some combining photos on fabric with embroidered and quilted surroundings; others being purely decorative. A personalised wall quilt would include a few photographs printed on to fabric and then included in an overall design appropriate to the subject. In 2009 & 2010 Pat completed the City & Guilds Level 2 qualification 'Creative Computing into Stitched Textiles'. This course teaches how to use the computer to create unique and colourful designs for use in craft and design work. It means that photos and drawings can be enhanced in all sorts of ways to use with textiles.
